ACTION: CALL THE GOVERNOR BY MAY 9

During the week of May 12, the governor will unveil revisions to his proposed budget plan for the fiscal year that begins July 1, 2008. This new budget plan is known as the "May Revise,".

Now through May 9, the Alliance for the CSU is asking all supporters to contact the governor's office by telephone or fax asking him to restore the $386 million in funding for the CSU to his budget plan.

Here is an example of what to say:

Hello, this is (your name). I'm a (in who you are: student, faculty, administrator, alumni, etc at California State University or other title or simply supporter of the CSU).

I support the California State University and you should too!

Please restore the $386 million to the CSU budget in your revised May budget.
